JB/T 8405-2013 was issued by MIIT on 25 April 2013 and has been in force since 1 September 2013.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8405-2001.
2 Scope
This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that lays down the rules for type inspection of tri-wheel vehicles and low-speed goods vehicles. It sets out the inspection items to be performed, the requirements attached to them and the test methods by which they are checked. The rules govern the type inspection of new tri-wheel vehicles and low-speed goods vehicles, and of variants whose design has been substantially modified. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 3871.10, GB 18320, GB/T 19118, GB/T 19124, GB 19756 and GB/T 23915. It replaces JB/T 8405-2001.
