1 Foreword

2 Scope

Part 4 of the JB/T 7418 series, JB/T 7418.4-2014 is a recommended machinery industry standard on the accuracy testing of external cylindrical grinding machines whose wheelhead moves. It prescribes the geometric accuracy checks, the accuracy of the work spindle, the working accuracy and the repeat positioning accuracy of general-purpose machines of normal accuracy grade, giving both the test methods and the tolerances that go with them. The test procedures rest on GB/T 17421.1-1998 and GB/T 17421.2-2000, with GB/T 19660-2005. The standard is classified J55 in the Chinese scheme and belongs to ICS 25.080.50.
