JB/T 7418.3-2014 is the English-translated version of 外圆磨床 第3部分：高精度机床 精度检验.
JB/T 7418.3-2014 is the third part of the recommended machinery industry series on external cylindrical grinding machines and deals with high accuracy machines.
It prescribes the geometric accuracy, the work spindle accuracy, the working accuracy and the repeat positioning accuracy to be checked on general-purpose high precision machines with a moving table, on universal cylindrical grinders and on cylindrical grinders that also grind end faces, together with the matching test methods and tolerances.
GB/T 17421.1-1998 and GB/T 17421.2-2000 supply the test conventions and GB/T 19660-2005 the designation of the axes. The standard replaces JB/T 9914-1999 and is classified J55 under ICS 25.080.50. Issued on 6 May 2014, it has applied since 1 October 2014.

2 Scope
This standard is the third part of the recommended machinery industry series on external cylindrical grinding machines and deals with high accuracy machines. It prescribes the geometric accuracy, the work spindle accuracy, the working accuracy and the repeat positioning accuracy to be checked on general-purpose high precision machines with a moving table, on universal cylindrical grinders and on cylindrical grinders that also grind end faces, together with the matching test methods and tolerances.
