1 Foreword

JB/T 6580.2-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 6580.2-1999.

It is one of 3 parts of the JB/T 6580 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the performance of open front mechanical power presses. The part states the performance requirements for these presses and then the test items and the test methods by which the requirements are verified, so it is the testing half of the JB/T 6580 series. It applies to open front presses, the C-frame machines widely used in sheet metal work. It is used with JB/T 6580.1, and it draws on GB 5226.1-2008, GB/T 23280-2009, GB 26483-2011 and GB 27607-2011. It supersedes JB/T 6580.2-1999.
