JB/T 6031-2018 was issued by MIIT on 4 July 2018 and has been in force since 1 May 2019.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 6031-1992.
2 Scope
JB/T 6031-2018 is the general specification that the Chinese machinery industry applies to steel die forgings used in construction machinery. It states the requirements these forgings must meet, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. Its scope is forgings produced by die forging from carbon structural steel and from alloy structural steel for construction machinery products. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 223.1, GB/T 223.5, GB/T 223.11, GB/T 223.14 and GB/T 223.19. It supersedes JB/T 6031-1992.
