JB/T 5937-2018 was issued by MIIT on 9 February 2018 and has been in force since 1 October 2018.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 5937-1991.

2 Scope

Grey iron castings for construction machinery are the subject of JB/T 5937-2018, a recommended mechanical and machinery industry standard of China. It gives the terms and definitions for these castings and then the requirements they must satisfy, along with the test methods that establish compliance. Inspection rules follow, and after them the provisions on marking, packaging, transportation and storage. This edition replaces JB/T 5937-1991.
