JB/T 5544-2012 was issued by MIIT on 24 May 2012 and has been in force since 1 November 2012.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 5544-2005, JB/T 5544-1991.
2 Scope
JB/T 5544-2012 is the Chinese machinery industry recommended standard giving the technical requirements for wire electrical-discharge machines of the unidirectional travelling type. Its provisions run from the accessories and tools and the safety rules to the machining and assembly quality, the running test of the machine, the inspection of machine accuracy, the marking and the technical documentation supplied with the machine, and the packaging.
