JB/T 4120-2017 was issued by MIIT on 9 January 2017 and has been in force since 1 July 2017.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4120-2006, JB/T 4120-1993.
2 Scope
This standard is the Chinese machinery industry standard giving the technical requirements for large forged alloy steel backup rolls. It covers ordering requirements, the manufacturing process, technical requirements, inspection rules and test methods, quality certificates and re-inspection, and marking and packaging. It applies to backup rolls forged in one piece and to assembled forged ones, for cold and hot rolling mills working ferrous and non-ferrous sheet and strip.
