JB/T 4091-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4091-1997.
2 Scope
This standard is the Chinese machinery industry standard giving the basic technical specifications for special explosion-proof battery locomotives used in coal mines. It sets the technical requirements for these locomotives, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking. They are meant for workings where coal dust and gas create an explosion hazard and where the coal mine safety regulations apply. The standard quotes the explosion protection series GB 3836.1, GB 3836.2 and GB 3836.4, together with GB/T 2828.1, GB 2893, GB 4208, GB/T 4695, GB/T 13306, GB/T 25122.1, GB/T 25122.2, GB 50213, AQ 1043 and a group of JB/T standards for locomotive components.
