Scope
GB/T 40130-2021 is the English-translated version of 煤矿专门水文地质勘查规范.
GB/T 40130-2021 is the Chinese specification for special hydrogeological exploration in coal mines, the survey work that combines hydrogeological mapping, geophysical prospecting, drilling and testing to establish the water conditions of a mine.
It sets the general principles, the exploration methods and techniques, the preparation of the design document and the requirements for mine surveys, special surveys, open-pit coal mine surveys and surveys of closed mines, through to report preparation and acceptance.
Its annexes deal with water inrush risk assessment, the evaluation of mine water inflow and the calculation of water accumulated in old goaf. It applies over the whole life of a coal mine, from design and construction to production and closure. It was issued on 21 May 2021 and has applied since 1 December 2021.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
Introduction
With the deepening of coal mining in the east of my country, the development and utilization of coal resources in the west, the advancement of mining technology and the changes in mining methods The hydrogeological conditions of coal mines have become more complex and diverse. At the same time, the exploration technology has also improved. In order to standardize the hydrogeological exploration of coal mines, This standard is specially formulated for the quality of coal mine hydrogeological survey results to meet the needs of coal mine water prevention and control work. This standard is based on Earth System Science And groundwater system theory and methods, combined with decades of coal mine water prevention and hydrogeological exploration work experience results based on the formulation.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the general principles of special hydrogeological surveys, survey methods and technologies, mine hydrogeological surveys, special hydrogeological surveys, Basic requirements for hydrogeological survey of open-pit coal mines, hydrogeological survey of closed pit coal mines, design documents and reports.
This standard is applicable to the hydrogeological survey in the whole process of coal mine design, construction, production, and pit closure.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Special hydrogeological exploration in coal mines
In order to ascertain the hydrogeological conditions of coal mines, hydrogeological work using comprehensive methods such as hydrogeological surveying and mapping, geophysical prospecting, drilling, and testing.
Note: According to coal mining method and purpose tasks, it can be divided into mine hydrogeological survey, special hydrogeological survey, open pit coal mine hydrogeological survey, closed pit coal Mineral hydrogeological survey.
3.1.1 Mine hydrogeological exploration
In order to find out the water filling conditions of the mine, comprehensive methods such as hydrogeological surveying and mapping, geophysical prospecting, drilling, and testing are used to predict and evaluate the water inflow in the mine. Hydrogeological work with the risk of water inrush.
3.1.2 Open-pit coal mine hydrogeological exploration
