1 Scope
This standard specifies the symbols, coding methods, structural styles, basic dimensions, technical requirements, measurement methods, inspection rules, marking, rust prevention and packaging of cross-shaft needle roller bearings without inner ring for universal joints (hereinafter referred to as needle roller bearings for universal joints).
It is applicable to the production, inspection and acceptance of needle roller bearings for universal joints.

B: nominal bearing width.
b: nominal width of outer ring.
b0: effective bottom thickness of outer ring.
b1: distance between the inner bottom surface and the stop groove of outer ring.
C: bottom plate groove width of outer ring.
D: nominal outside diameter of bearing.
D1: diameter of outer ring stop groove.
FW: inner diameter of needle roller group.
FWsmin: minimum single inner diameter of needle roller group.
H: width of outer ring stop groove.
L: bottom flat groove depth of outer ring.
M: center distance between two holes of cover plate.
r0: fillet radius of stop groove bottom.
deltaBs: single width deviation of bearing.
deltabs: single width deviation of outer ring.
deltab0s: deviation of single effective bottom thickness of outer ring.
deltab1s: single distance deviation between the bottom surface of outer ring and the stop groove.
deltaCs: single width deviation of bottom plate groove of outer ring.
deltaFWsmin: minimum single inner diameter deviation of needle roller group (the difference between FWsmin and FW).
deltaHs: single width deviation of outer ring stop groove.

4 Coding method
4.1 General
The code of needle roller bearings for universal joints consists of front code, basic code and post code.
4.2 Front code
Capitalized Latin letters are used in the front code to indicate the structural style of needle roller bearings for universal joints, as shown in Table 1.
