Foreword

This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This Standard replaced GB/T 5671-1995 General Purpose Lithium Base Grease for

Automobile.

Compared with GB/T 5671-1995, this Standard has the major changes as follows.

--- Delete "electric generator" in the application scope;

--- Add the low temperature torque index; and delete the similar viscosity index;

--- In the impurity items; change the number of particles with diameter10µm above

from the original no greater than 5000 pieces/cm3 into no greater than 2000

pieces/cm3; change the number of particles with diameter 25µm above from the

original no greater than 3000 pieces/cm3 into no greater than 1000 pieces/cm3;

change the number of particles with diameter 75µm above from the original no

greater than 500 pieces/cm3 into no greater than 200 pieces/cm3;

--- Express the anticorrosive property according to the result expressing mode

stipulated in the newly revised GB/T 5018, changing from the original "no more

than Grade-1" into "qualified";

--- Add the No.3 consistency grades and technical indicators for the No.3 general

purpose lithium lubricating grease for automobile;

--- Add Chapter 3 Classification and Marking;

--- Add Chapter 5 Inspection Rules.

This Standard is not equivalent to the Japanese Industrial Standard JIS K2220-2003
