Scope

JB/T 12622-2016 is the English-translated version of 液化天然气用阀门性能试验.

Performance testing of liquefied natural gas valves is the subject of JB/T 12622-2016, a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard. The document gives the terms and definitions for these performance tests, the test items, and the tests carried out at normal temperature and at low temperature.

It applies to flanged and welded gate valves, globe valves, ball valves and butterfly valves whose working medium is liquefied natural gas, of nominal pressure PN16 to PN250 and nominal size DN15 to DN1200, or pressure class Class 150 to Class 1500 and nominal size NPS 1/2 to NPS 48, and it adds that valves of other types may also be handled by reference to it.

It is a modified adoption of BS EN 12567-2000. It quotes GB/T 26480 and GB/T 26481-2011. The Chinese classification is J16 and the international classification 23.060.01.
