JB/T 12625-2016 is the English-translated version of 液化天然气用球阀.

JB/T 12625-2016 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for ball valves used with liquefied natural gas. It prescribes the structural types, the technical requirements, the inspection and test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, protection, packaging and storage of these valves.

Its range is wide: flanged and welded ball valves of nominal pressure PN16 to PN250 and nominal size DN15 to DN700, or pressure class 150 to class 1500 and nominal size NPS 1/2 to NPS 28, with liquefied natural gas as the working medium.

Low-temperature ball valves for service above -162 °C may also be referred to it. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 12237, GB 26640, JB/T 7927-2014 and JB/T 12621-2016. Issued on 15 January 2016, it has applied since 1 June 2016.
