The main drive of a cold rolling mill carries torque from the motor to the rolls, and JB/T 12051-2014 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the cross-shaft universal couplings used in it. It describes their structure, their basic parameters and main dimensions, and the product designation, then gives technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage. It draws on a wide set of references, among them GB/T 191, GB/T 3098.1, GB/T 3098.4, GB/T 11345, GB/T 13384 and many parts of the JB/T 5000 series on heavy machinery manufacture.
