Scope
JB/T 11991-2014 is the English-translated version of 工业机械数字控制系统用交流伺服电动机.
JB/T 11991-2014 is the Chinese machinery industry standard for the AC servo motors that drive the numerical control systems of industrial machine tools.
It covers sine wave and square wave driven permanent magnet synchronous motors, leaving AC asynchronous servo motors to separate documents, and fixes their mounting as a flanged end-face spigot with a cylindrical keyed shaft extension to GB/T 756-2010.
Manufacturing quality and a 9 N pull test on each lead wire sit alongside performance limits: insulation resistance of at least 50 Mohm normal and cold, 10 Mohm hot and 1 Mohm after alternating damp heat, plus withstand voltage, protective earthing, noise to GB/T 10069.1 and no-load current.
Counterclockwise rotation is defined as positive, with U, V and W leads coloured blue, red and yellow. It was issued on 6 May 2014 and has applied since 1 October 2014.

5 Manufacturing quality
5.1 Appearance
5.1.1 Requirements
5.8.1 Requirements
The length of each motor lead wire is determined by the design. Each lead wire shall be able to withstand a tensile force of >= 9 N. After the test, the lead wire shall not break; the insulation layer and core wire shall not be damaged.
5.8.2 Inspection (test) method
With the motor lead wires pointing downwards, a force of 9 N is applied vertically downwards to the outer end of each lead wire. The force shall be applied evenly to the conductor core and insulation layer.
For motors with end-mounted wiring, the test shall be conducted at room temperature.
First, the shaft extension is positioned vertically upwards, then the motor is rotated 90° so that the shaft is horizontal and then the motor casing is rotated 360° clockwise and counterclockwise around the shaft axis. The test shall meet the requirements of 5.8.1.
For motors with radial wiring, the test shall be conducted at room temperature. First, the motor is placed horizontally with the leads pointing downwards, then the motor is rotated 90° so that the shaft extension is vertically upwards, then the motor casing is rotated 360° clockwise and counterclockwise around the axis of the wiring hole. The test shall meet the requirements of 5.8.1.
