Scope
HG/T 4057-2008 is the English-translated version of 还原灰M(C.I.还原黑8).
HG/T 4057-2008 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for Vat grey M, the vat dye known in the Colour Index as C.I. Vat Black 8 and also sold as vat grey 3BG. It sets the product requirements and lays down sampling, test methods and inspection rules, together with the provisions for marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. The standard serves the quality control of vat grey M, a colorant used mainly for dyeing cotton, linen and viscose fibre and their fabrics. Its tests rest on the general dye methods GB/T 2374 and GB/T 2377, on the fastness methods GB/T 3920, GB/T 3921.4, GB/T 3922 and GB/T 8427, and on the limits of GB 19601 and GB 20814. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
