The recommended chemical industry standard HG/T 4024-2008 deals with Vat direct black RB, the vat dye recorded as C.I. Vat Black 9 and also called vat black 4B. It fixes the product requirements and describes sampling, test methods and inspection rules, then the marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage of the dye, the aim being its quality control. The colorant is used mainly for dyeing cotton, linen and viscose fibre and the fabrics woven from them.
