HG/T 3849-2008 is the English-translated version of 硬质橡胶 拉伸强度和拉断伸长率的测定.
HG/T 3849-2008 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for measuring the tensile strength and the elongation at break of ebonite, that is hard rubber. It gives the method for determining those two properties, and it applies to hard rubber generally, including the grades made to resist media, heat and impact. Conditioning of the test pieces follows GB/T 2941. The standard is a modified adoption of ASTM D2707-1985, and it replaces the 2006 edition HG/T 3849-2006. It is a recommended document, classified G40 in the Chinese system and 83.060 internationally. Issued on 1 February 2008, it has applied since 1 July 2008.
