HG/T 3848-2008 is the English-translated version of 硬质橡胶 抗剪切强度的测定.
Shear strength is what HG/T 3848-2008 measures: this recommended Chinese chemical industry standard prescribes the method for determining the shearing strength of ebonite, or hard rubber. It sits in the same series of hard rubber test methods as the crushing strength and heat resistance parts, under the Chinese classification G40 and the international classification 83.060. The method is written for hard rubber of the medium-resistant, heat-resistant and impact-resistant kinds and for the other hard rubber grades in general use. GB/T 2941 and HG/T 2369-1992 are quoted and applied alongside it. The standard replaces its own 2006 edition, HG/T 3848-2006. Issued on 1 February 2008, it has applied since 1 July 2008.
