Scope

HG/T 3844-2008 is the English-translated version of 硬质橡胶弯曲强度的测定.

The recommended chemical industry standard HG/T 3844-2008 covers the determination of the flexural, or cross breaking, strength of ebonite. Under the method the hard rubber specimen rests on two supports and a static bending force is applied at the mid point between them, and the bending strength of the specimen is measured. As with the companion impact test, the scope takes in hard rubbers intended to resist chemical media, corrosion, heat and impact. GB/T 2941 is quoted in the text, and the standard is a modified adoption of GOST 255-1990. It supersedes HG/T 3844-2006. Issued on 1 February 2008, it has applied since 1 July 2008.
