HG/T 3845-2008 is the English-translated version of 硬质橡胶 冲击强度的测定.
HG/T 3845-2008 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for measuring the impact strength of ebonite, or hard rubber. It describes a pendulum test in which a striker carrying a known amount of potential energy hits the specimen, the energy consumed in breaking the piece being taken as the result. The method is written for hard rubbers used where resistance to chemical media, corrosion, heat and impact matters. It quotes GB/T 2941, and it is a modified adoption of GOST 258. The standard replaces the earlier edition HG/T 3845-2006. Issued on 1 February 2008, it has applied since 1 July 2008.
