HG/T 3420-2008 is the English-translated version of 还原橄榄绿B(C.I.还原绿3).
HG/T 3420-2008 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for vat olive green B, the dye listed as C.I. Vat Green 3 and known earlier as vat olive B. It lays down the product requirements and the sampling and test methods that check them, then the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. The standard is used to control the quality of the vat olive B product, a dye applied mainly to the dyeing of cotton fibre and the printing of fabric, and used as well to colour plastics, soap and paper. Fastness and related testing follow GB/T 3920-1997, GB/T 3922-1995, GB/T 8427-1998 and HG/T 3399-2001. It supersedes HG/T 3420-2002. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
