HG/T 2906-2017 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard that sets out how the static load performance of cycle tyres is tested. It gives the terms and definitions, the test equipment and the accuracy required of it, the test procedures and the contents of the test report. Two determinations are included: the outer dimensions of the tyre as fitted to the vehicle and the behaviour of the tyre under static load. Tubular racing tyres and non-pneumatic tyres fall outside its field of application. GB/T 1702, GB/T 6326, GB/T 7377 and GB/T 8170 are quoted. It replaces HG/T 2906-2009. Issued on 7 November 2017, it has applied since 1 April 2018.
