1 Scope

GB/T 47087-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering how long a tape holds before it peels under a constant load - the creep behaviour that decides whether a mounted object stays on the wall for a year, which a peel strength measured at 300 mm per minute does not tell you. First edition, and it belongs with the pressure sensitive adhesive vocabulary GB/T 22396-2026. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 August 2026, as a first edition. This document describes a method for determining the static load peel performance of adhesive tapes. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 22396 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 static load Static load A load that remains constant over time.

3.2 static load peeling Static peeling Peeling of adhesive tape under static load (3.1).

3.3 The phenomenon of adhesive tape separating and falling off from the surface of the adhered object under static load (3.1).

3.4 An adhesive tape with pressure-sensitive adhesive coated on both sides of the substrate.

3.5 transfer adhesive tape An adhesive tape made by directly coating pressure-sensitive adhesive onto a release material without using a supporting substrate.

Note. When using, first transfer the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to the surface of one of the objects to be bonded, remove the release material, and then use external force to stick the other object to be bonded.
