Scope

HG/T 2879.3-2014 is the English-translated version of 橡胶配合剂陶土第3部分：硅含量的测定.

HG/T 2879.3-2014 fixes the method for determining the total silicon content of the kaolin clay used as a rubber compounding ingredient. It is written for clay that has been chemically treated during production to neutralize acidic substances such as amines and that has not been surface treated. As part three of the HG/T 2879 series it stands beside the parts on aluminium, iron and manganese, under the Chinese classification G49 and ICS 83.040.20. It quotes GB/T 12805, GB/T 12808, HG/T 2879.2-2014 and HG/T 3061. The standard replaces HG/T 2879.3-1997 and also takes over HG/T 2879.4-1997. Issued on 24 December 2014, it has applied since 1 June 2015.
