Aluminium in kaolin clay for rubber compounding is the subject of HG/T 2879.2-2014, part two of the Chinese chemical industry series devoted to that filler. The total aluminium content is determined by EDTA titration, and the method is written for clay that has been chemically treated during production to neutralize acidic substances such as amines. The Chinese classification is G49 and the international one 83.040.20. It quotes GB/T 12805, GB/T 12808 and the silicon part HG/T 2879.3-2014, and it replaces HG/T 2879.2-1997. Issued on 24 December 2014, it has applied since 1 June 2015.
