HG/T 2797.2-2007 gives the method for finding the iodine adsorption number of silica-alumina carbon black and forms part 2 of the Chinese chemical industry series on that material. The iodine adsorption number expresses the quantity of iodine a given mass of the black takes up, and this part applies to silica-alumina carbon black as a class. It is used with HG/T 2880 and GB/T 15338, and figures are rounded in accordance with GB/T 8170. The text is a modified adoption of ASTM D1510-2003 and it supersedes HG/T 2797.2-1996. Issued on 22 September 2007, it has applied since 1 April 2008.
