Scope
GB/Z 17625.6-2003 is the English-translated version of 电磁兼容 限值 对额定电流大于16A的设备在低压供电系统中产生的谐波电流的限制.
GB/Z 17625.6-2003 is identical to IEC TR 61000-3-4:1998 and deals with harmonic current emissions from electrical and electronic equipment whose rated input current exceeds 16 A per phase.
It applies to equipment for public low-voltage AC systems of up to 240 V single-phase or 600 V three-phase at 50 Hz; other distribution systems are excluded, and the tests are type tests of complete equipment rather than of components.
General requirements, connection procedures, product documentation and type test methods are set out, giving supply authorities the information they need to decide whether equipment may be connected as far as harmonic distortion is concerned.
Connection normally still depends on agreement between the supply authority and the consumer. It was issued on 21 February 2003.

Foreword
This guidance technical document identically adopts IEC Technical Report 17665-1.2006 "Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 3-4.Limits - Limitation of emission of harmonic currents in low-voltage power supply systems for equipment with rated current greater than 16 A".
The development of this guidance technical document is to improve the electromagnetic compatibility of China's electrical and electronic products, to maintain a good electromagnetic environment and to improve the power quality of power supply system.
This guidance technical document is Part 6 of "Electromagnetic compatibility - Limits", which includes the following parts.
GB 17625.1-2003 Electromagnetic compatibility - Limits - Limits for harmonic current emissions (equipment input current <= 16 A per phase)
GB 17625.2-1999 Electromagnetic compatibility - Limits - Limitation of voltage fluctuations and flicker in low-voltage supply systems for equipment with rated current <= 16 A GB/Z 17625.3-2000 Electromagnetic compatibility - Limits - Limitation of voltage fluctuations and flicker in low-voltage power supply systems for equipment with rated current greater than 16 A GB/Z 17625.4-2000 Electromagnetic compatibility - Limits - Assessment of emission limits for distorting loads in MV and HV power systems
GB/Z 17625.5-2000 Electromagnetic compatibility - Limits - Assessment of emission limits for fluctuating loads in MV and HV power systems
GB/Z 17625.6-2003 Electromagnetic compatibility - Limits - Limitation of emission of harmonic currents in low-voltage power supply systems for equipment with rated current greater than 16 A The definition "3.1 total harmonic distortion (THD)" of this guidance technical document is chosen according to GB/T 18039.3 (IEC 61000-2-2) and GB/Z 18039.5 (IEC 61000-2-1).
This guidance technical document is for reference only. The suggestions and opinions on this guidance technical documents shall be reported to the administrative department for standardization of the State Council.
1 Scope
This guidance technical document deals with the emission of disturbances due to harmonics.
This guidance technical document is applicable to electrical and electronic equipment with a rated input current exceeding 16 A per phase and intended to be connected to public low-voltage a.c. distribution systems of the following types.
- nominal voltage up to 240 V, single-phase, two or three wires;
- nominal voltage up to 600 V, three-phase, three or four wires;
- nominal frequency 50 Hz. Other distribution systems are excluded.
Tests according to this guidance technical document are type tests of complete pieces of equipment, for example a speed variable fan, and not of components, for example a converter.
Connection of this equipment to the supply generally requires special agreement between the supply authority and the consumer. This consent will depend upon several factors including the expected levels of disturbance caused by the equipment and the actual situation at the connection point to the power supply system.
These recommendations specify the information required to enable a supply authority to assess equipment regarding harmonic disturbance and to decide whether or not the equipment is acceptable for connection with regard to the harmonic distortion aspect.
NOTE 1: For these types of equipment only general recommendations on assessment of disturbances can be given. There is no guarantee that the connection of equipment complying with these recommendations will be allowed in all cases, as the consent to connect equipment to the supply depends on the level of disturbance caused by the equipment and the load conditions in the network.
NOTE 2: This guidance technical document can also be applied to equipment with a lower rated […]
