1 Scope
This standard specifies the principles of coking benzene products distillation range measurement, the test samples, reagents, instruments, test procedures and accuracy.
This standard applies to coking toluene coking xylene distillation range of measurement.

Principle 3
At atmospheric pressure distillation 100mL sample observed thermometer readings and distillate volume at standard atmospheric correction, and calculate the results.
4 Sampling
According to GB/T 1999 regulations, a representative sample of not less than 1000mL removed from a lot of material.
5 Reagents
5.1 tartaric acid
in line with GB/T 1294 regulations, AR.
5.2 acetone
in line with GB/T 686 provides analytical grade.
6 Instruments
6.1 retort
the volume of 200mL, the outer diameter of 73mm ± 1mm, shown in Figure 1; freshly distilled prior to use bottle, with a small amount of tartaric acid was heated at the bottom

6.2 Thermometer
Temperature range 100 °C ~ 120 °C, sub-scale 0.1 °C (YB/T 2305 in COK5C); a temperature range of 125 °C ~
150 °C, sub-scale 0.1 °C (YB/T in 2305 COK6C).
6.3 cylinder
the volume of 100mL.
6.4 Condenser
condenser water tank (SH/T 0121 Determination of distillation range means a condenser), shown in Figure 2.
6.5 Wind Screen
280mm × 200mm × 480mm square tube made of metal, mezzanine lined with asbestos, the bottom of each side has three diameters
12.5mm round holes, two on each side of the central 25mm diameter hole, the lower part there is a small door, the upper side of a peep hole to see various dimensions
