Scope
GB/T 3915-2021 is the English-translated version of 工业用苯乙烯.
GB/T 3915-2021 is the Chinese national standard for industrial styrene. It gives the product classification, the technical requirements and the test methods, the sampling, the inspection rules, the marks, labels and accompanying documents and the provisions on packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to the styrene made by ethylbenzene dehydrogenation, by the propylene oxide co-production route and by extraction from pyrolysis gasoline, the monomer of polystyrene and of the styrene copolymers.
Producers and polymer works use it. It replaces GB/T 3915-2011, was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.
