3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1 Homogeneous Clad Steel Plate
The finished steel plate after hot rolling of composite billets of the same material.
3.2 Heterogeneous Clad Steel Plate
The finished steel plate after hot rolling of composite billets of different materials.
3.3 Cladding Metal; Cladding Layer
The stainless steel in a heterogeneous clad steel plate that comes into contact with the working medium and atmosphere.
3.4 Base Metal; Base Layer
The carbon steel that primarily bears the structural strength in a heterogeneous clad steel plate.
3.5 Rolled Compounding
The method of achieving metallurgical bonding between the cladding metal (3.3) and the base metal (3.4) of the same or different materials during the rolling process.
3.6 Compound Contact Interface
The bonding surface between the cladding metal (3.3) and the base metal (3.4) of a heterogeneous clad steel plate.
3.7 Percentage of Unbounded Area
