GB/T 701-2008Hot rolled low carbon steel wire rods (English PDF)

1 Scope

This Standard specifies order content, dimension and shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, test rules and packing, marking and quality certificate of hot-rolled low-carbon steel wire rods.

This Standard is applicable to low-carbon steel hot-rolled wire rods for deep processing and other general purpose.

This Standard is not applicable to the following products:

- hot-rolled carbon bar steel for standard part;

- steel wire rods for welding;

- cold heading steel;

- free-cutting structural steels;

- bar steel for anchor chain.
