Scope

GB/T 21530-2008 is the English-translated version of 棉花打包用镀锌钢丝.

This standard sets the classification, shape, geometry and weight of galvanized steel wire for cotton packing, together with its technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, labeling, transportation and storage.

Clause 1 applies it to galvanized steel wire for cotton packing, which the text calls galvanized steel wire for short.

Clause 3 classifies the wire by tensile strength into two categories: class A, low carbon, which conforms to GB/T 701 and has a tensile strength of 400 MPa to 510 MPa, and class B, high carbon, which conforms to GB/T 4354 and has a tensile strength of 1400 MPa to 1650 MPa.

The same clause splits the wire again by the way it is galvanized into two kinds, which the draft renders as hot dip galvanized steel wire and galvanized steel wire, and gives the marking pattern with two worked examples: a class A wire of 2.8 mm diameter is marked bale wire RZ-A-2.8, and a class B wire of 3.4 mm diameter is marked bale wire DZ-B-3.4.

Clause 4, on shape, geometry and weight, begins by requiring a circular cross-section, and the draft breaks off there. Clause 2 cites GB/T 228, GB/T 238, GB/T 701, GB/T 2972, GB/T 2973, GB/T 2976 and GB/T 4354.

The standard was proposed by the China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives and falls to its Standardization Technical Committee for the cotton processing industry.

The foreword states that this is the first release of the standard; it was issued on April 9, 2008 and has applied since May 1, 2008.

3 Category

According to the tensile strength of steel wire 3.1 is divided into two categories.

Class A (low carbon) in line with the provisions of GB/T 701, the tensile strength of 400MPa ~ 510MPa.

Class B (high carbon) in line with the provisions of GB/T 4354, and a tensile strength of 1400MPa ~ 1650MPa.

3.2 Model

Galvanized steel wire galvanized by divided into two. one for hot dip galvanized steel wire, one for galvanized steel wire.

Example 1. Diameter 2.8mm, tensile strength Class A galvanized steel wire, which is marked as. bale wire RZ-A-2.8.

Example 2. Diameter 3.4mm, tensile strength galvanized steel wire Class B, marked as. bale wire DZ-B-3.4.

4 The shape, geometry, weight

4.1 Shape

Galvanized steel wire cross-section shape is circular.
