GB/T 6653-2017Steel plates and strips for welded gas cylinders (English PDF)

1 Scope

This Standard specifies the dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, package, mark and quality certificate of steel plates and strips for welded gas cylinders.

This Standard is applicable to the hot-rolled steel plates and strips with thickness of 2.0mm~14.0mm, and cold-rolled steel plates and strips with thickness of 1.5mm~4.0mm used for the welded gas cylinder.

3 Expression Method of Grade

The grade of steel consists of two parts, namely, the initial of Chinese Pinyin "welded cylinder" of "HP", and lower limit of lower yield strength. Example: HP295, thereof. HP - the initial of Chinese Pinyin "welded cylinder";

295 - the lower limit of lower yield strength of steel, in MPa.
