GB/T 5844-2025 is the English-translated version of 轮胎式联轴器.
GB/T 5844-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the coupling whose flexible element is a rubber tyre, from 10 N·m to 25000 N·m — the types and the marking, the basic parameters and the shaft hole and bolt hole dimensions, the compensation it allows for misalignment, the steel and rubber materials, the bolt tightening and the assembly accuracy, the torque test, and the hot air ageing of the rubber that decides how long the element lasts. It replaces GB/T 5844-2002, with the flange coupling standard GB/T 5843-2025. In force from 1 October 2025. Issued on 28 March 2025, it has been in force since 1 October 2025, replacing GB/T 5844-2002.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 5844-2002 "Tire Coupling". Compared with GB/T 5844-2002, except for structural adjustment and editorial In addition to the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The marking method of the coupling has been changed (see 4.2, 3.4 of the 2002 edition);
b) The coupling J1 type shaft hole has been deleted (see Table 1 of the 2002 edition);
c) The outer diameter of the coupling sleeve is increased (see Figure 1 and Table 1);
d) Added the relevant parameters of the coupling connection bolt hole (see Table 1);
e) The structural steel material grades have been changed (see Table 3, Table 3 of the 2002 edition);
f) The 4.8-grade connecting bolts of the coupling have been deleted (see Table 3 of the 2002 edition);
g) Added tightening requirements for coupling bolts (see 7.6);
h) Added the coupling assembly accuracy requirements (see 7.7);
i) Deleted the requirements for semi-finished rubber products (see Table 4 of the 2002 edition);
j) Added the requirements for rubber physical properties test specimen types (see Table 6);
k) The hot air aging test method standard for vulcanized rubber has been changed (see Table 6, Table 4 of the 2002 edition);
l) Added torque test method (see 8.2).
