1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions and the technical parameters of the coupling.

2 Terms and definitions
2.1 Coupling
Two rotary shaft or coupling member, a device for transmitting torque and motion.
NOTE. Coupling schematic symbol Appendix A.
2.2 Rigid coupling
We can not compensate for the relative displacement of the two shaft couplings.
2.2.1 Flange coupling
The use of the coupling flange and bolt coupling halves of the coupling, see Figure 1.
