GB/T 5843-2025 is the English-translated version of 凸缘联轴器.

GB/T 5843-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the rigid coupling that bolts two flanged halves together, from 80 N·m to 180000 N·m — the GY, GYS and GYH types and the marking, the shaft hole diameters and their tolerance zones, the bolt hole parameters, the rotating diameter, the materials of the half-couplings and the centring ring, the bolt tightening torque without which a rigid joint works loose, and the test methods. It replaces GB/T 5843-2003, with the tyre coupling standard GB/T 5844-2025. In force from 1 October 2025. Issued on 28 March 2025, it has been in force since 1 October 2025, replacing GB/T 5843-2003.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 5843-2003 "Flange Couplings". Compared with GB/T 5843-2003, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, In addition to the above, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The J1-type shaft hole of the GY-type flange coupling has been deleted (see Figure 1 and Table 1 of the 2003 edition);

b) The J1-type shaft hole of the GYS flange coupling has been deleted (see Figure 2 and Table 1 of the 2003 edition);

c) The J1-type shaft hole of the GYH flange coupling has been deleted (see Figure 3 and Table 1 of the 2003 edition);

d) The nominal torque values of flange couplings have been changed (see Chapter 1 and Table 1, Table 1 of the 2003 edition);

e) The marking method of flange couplings has been changed (see 4.2, 3.2 of the 2003 edition);

f) Changed the rotation diameter D of flange couplings of GY110 (formerly GY4), GYS110 (formerly GYS4), GYH110 (formerly GYH4) The value of (see Table 1, Table 1 of the 2003 edition);

g) Added some shaft hole diameter specifications (see Table 1);

h) Added the tolerance zone code for the flange coupling shaft hole diameter (see Table 1);

i) Added relevant parameters of connecting bolt holes (see Table 1);

j) The materials of the half-shaft and the centering ring (GYH type) have been changed (see Table 2, Table 2 of the 2003 edition);

k) Added the bolt tightening torque requirements for flange couplings (see 6.4);

l) Added test methods (see Chapter 7).

1 Scope

This document specifies the basic parameters, main dimensions and technical requirements of flange couplings, as well as test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, It also defines the types and markings of products.

This document is applicable to the manufacture of flange couplings that transmit nominal torques of 80 N-m to 180000 N-m.
