Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

This document replaces GB/T 5039-1999 "Sugihara Articles". Compared with GB/T 5039-1999, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, The main technical changes are as follows.

--- Added terms and definitions of Sugihara strips (see 3.1);

--- Deleted the measuring tool of the ruler (see 4.1.3 of the 1999 edition);

--- Changed the size of the tip diameter from 6cm~12cm to 6.0cm~8.0cm (see 4.2.1, 3.1.1 of the 1999 edition);

--- Changed the classification, changed to the defect allowable limit (see 4.3, 3.3 of the 1999 edition);

--- Changed the allowable limit of some defects, the second grade of sapwood decay was changed from 15% to 10%; the outer skin, trauma, partial withered first grade 15% Revised to 10%, second-class 40% to 20%; (see Table 1, Table 1 of the 1999 edition);

--- Delete the unified numbering and production and related content by the forestry authorities of all provinces (regions) (see 4.1.4 of the 1999 edition);

--- Deleted the content of water eyes (see 4.3.1 of the 1999 edition);

--- Changed the content of diameter inspection (see 5.2.2, 4.3.2 of the 1999 edition);

--- Changed the rating to material rating (see 5.3, 4.4.4 of the 1999 edition);

--- Added dead joint, longitudinal fissure, large head heart-pulling defect index and inspection method (see Table 1, 5.3.2, 5.3.6, 5.3.11);

--- Changed the detection and calculation method of heartwood decay, from the area ratio to the comparison between the decay diameter and the gauge diameter (see 5.3.5, 1999). version 4.4.7);

--- Changed the inspection method and allowable limit of worm eyes. The number of inspections within any 1m long range is not allowed to be changed to allow the first class 5, the second class is not limited to 20 (see Table 1, 5.3.7, 4.4.8 of the 1999 edition);

--- Changed the calculation method of outer skin and partial dryness (see 5.3.9, 4.4.10 and 4.4.11 of the 1999 edition);

--- Deleted the contents of tree tumor, woodpecker's eye, and termite decay (see 4.4.13, 4.4.14, 4.4.15 of the 1999 edition);

--- Deleted the contents of return, storage and handover (see Chapter 5 of the 1999 edition);

--- Added sampling and determination methods (see Chapter 6).

1 Scope

This document specifies the requirements, inspection methods, sampling, determination methods and volume calculation of Sugihara strips.

This document applies to the production, sales and distribution of Sugihara strips.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 155, GB/T 15787 and the following apply to this document.
