1 Scope

This section provides a high-frequency combustion - infrared absorption method for the determination of titanium sponge, titanium and titanium carbon content.

This section applies to titanium, titanium sponge and titanium alloy carbon content. Measurement range. 0.004% to 0.100%.

2 principle of the method

In an oxygen atmosphere, the carbon in the sample is oxidized in a high frequency induction furnace to carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide, a mixed gas with a carrier gas into the red

Detected outside the pool, with the titanium material standard/sample curve established for comparison, the measured carbon content of the sample.
