1 Scope

GB/T 46484.1-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering designing appliances for older users - the control size, contrast and labelling, the audible feedback and its frequency range, the forces required to open and operate, the error tolerance and the recovery from a wrong press, and the instructions. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 28219, GB/T 36934, GB/T 36947, and GB 44246, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 Single-phase AC powered appliances used by non-professionals in homes, residences, and similar settings (e.g., shops, light industry, and farms).
