Scope

GB/T 4476.4-2008 is the English-translated version of 金属船体制图 第4部分:尺寸注法.

GB/T 4476.4-2008 is Part 4 of GB/T 4476 and specifies the dimensioning method for the metal hull of ships when drawing. Clause 1 states that this part applies to the drawing of the metal hull of civilian ships and of military auxiliary vessels.

The clauses the draft shows are Scope; Normative references; General Provisions; and dimension line; the page prints no table of contents, so what follows clause 4 is not shown.

The foreword states that GB/T 4476 Drawing metal hull is divided into four parts, Part 1 General requirements, Part 2 Graphical symbols, Part 3 painting and drawing number, and Part 4 Dimensioning.

Clause 3 requires the size of hull members to be marked on the basis of the real numbers, regardless of the accuracy of the graphics and of the drawing, allows the unit of measurement to be omitted when sizes on drawings and other technical documentation are in millimetres and requires other units to be specified, and asks that the location size of a hull structure be marked as the distance of the member theoretical line from a reference line, typically the baseline, the hull center line or the vertical tail, with a symbol, which the page does not print, indicating the position of the theoretical line of a member that does not comply with CB/T 253, as shown in Figure 1.

The same clause has a hull structure of the same size generally marked only once and only one member marked where specifications or sizes are the same, on the map that shows the member most clearly, marks height-direction location sizes as the distance from a waterline or a baseline, width-direction sizes from the ship centreline, and length-direction sizes from a station line or a rib line, and marks a pending size with the symbol '~' plus the size figures.

Clause 4 begins by having dimension lines drawn with a thin solid line ending in one of two forms, and the page breaks off there; clause 2 cites CB/T 253 metal hull member theoretical line.

The page states that this part was proposed by the China State Shipbuilding Corporation, and the foreword lists the changes from the 1984 edition: a Normative References clause was added, dimension unit requirements were added, the line form of the dimension terminal was added, the marking of ball flat steel was modified, the dimension figures were clarified and one figure was removed.

It replaces GB/T 4476.4-1984, which the page also records as the superseded standard, was issued on August 4, 2008 and has applied since February 1, 2009.

CB/T 253 metal hull member theoretical line

3 General Provisions

3.1 magnitude hull members should note the size of the pattern on the basis of numbers, regardless of the accuracy of the size of graphics and drawings.

3.2 drawings and other technical documentation in size, when in millimeters, without marked unit of measurement, the use of other units should be specified Their units.

3.3 Location size hull structure should be marked member of theoretical line from the reference line (typically the baseline, the hull center line, vertical tail, etc.) distance. If the Does not comply with CB/T 253, available symbol "" indicates the position of the theoretical line of the member shown in Figure 1.

3.4 the same size of the hull structure is generally marked only once, specifications, or the same size can be marked only a member. Size shall be marked in representation Member clearest map.

3.5 Location Size height direction usually the distance from the waterline to mark a baseline or the width direction from the use of the ship's hull or midline Distance mark, captain direction away from the use of the boat, from the station line or rib line labeled.
