GB/T 44669-2024 is the Chinese service specification for organisations serving people with disabilities. China has built a large network of such organisations, rehabilitation centres, sheltered employment and day services, vocational training and assistive device services, run by government, by charities and by private operators, and their quality has varied enormously because there was no common definition of what the service consists of. The standard sets the service principles, that the service be person-centred and equal, needs-oriented, professional and safe, and then the substance: the service content and its categories, the intake, assessment and individual service planning, the delivery and the records, the requirements on the personnel and their qualification and training, on the premises, facilities and accessibility, on the safety and emergency arrangements, on the protection of rights, dignity and personal information, and on the evaluation, complaint handling and continuous improvement of the service. It takes effect on 1 January 2025.

1 Scope

GB/T 44669-2024 is the Chinese service specification for organisations serving people with disabilities. This document applies to disability service agencies that provide nursing care, rehabilitation and other services.
