Scope
GB/T 42602-2023 is the English-translated version of 大型锻钢件的锻造规范.
This document specifies the forging of heavy steel forgings: the use of the forging equipment and its accessories, the making of the ingot, the forging process and the forging operation, the control of the risks that arise during it, and the records and inspection required.
The document applies to the forging of heavy steel forgings made from ingots of 150 tonnes and above where a single forging weighs 90 tonnes or more, typically rotor steels of the Ni2, Ni3 and Ni4 series, back-up roll steels of the Cr2, Cr3 and Cr4 series, 12Cr2Mo1 and 12Cr2Mo1V vessel steels and 20MnNiMo nuclear power steel, whose chemical compositions are given in Annex A. Heavy forgings in other grades may be forged following this document as a reference.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.
1 Scope
This document specifies the use of forging equipment and accessories for forging large steel forgings, ingot manufacturing, forging process, forging operation, forging process Risk control, record and inspection requirements.
This document is applicable to steel ingots with a weight greater than or equal to 150t, and a single forging with a weight greater than or equal to 90t, in Ni2, Ni3, Ni4 series Rotor materials, Cr2, Cr3, Cr4 series support roller materials, 12Cr2Mo1, 12Cr2Mo1V container materials, 20MnNiMo nuclear power materials, etc.
The forging of the representative large steel forgings (see Appendix A for the relevant chemical composition of material grades), other material grades of large forgings can refer to this document Implement forging.

3 Terms and Definitions
GB/T 8541, GB/T 36484, GB/T 37775 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Hydraulic press
A general term for presses that use hydraulic transmission to drive slides or working parts.
Note: Divided into hydraulic presses and hydraulic presses according to different media. [Source: GB/T 36484-2018, 3.1.3, modified]
3.2 Manipulator
Mechanical equipment used to hold steel ingots or blanks for forging operations and auxiliary operations.
Note: This equipment can advance and retreat, rotate, lift and swing the clamped blank. Manipulators are divided into tracked and trackless, with mechanical transmission, hydraulic transmission and hybrid transmission. moveable. [Source: GB/T 8541-2012, 16.7.19, modified]
3.3 Forging ratio
A method of expressing the degree of deformation during forging. It is usually expressed by the section ratio, length ratio or height ratio (y) before and after deformation.
Note: For example, when elongating, y=F0/F=L/L0; when upsetting, y=F/F0=H0/H (where. F0, F---the cross-sectional area of the forging billet before and after deformation; L0, L---
