Scope

GB/T 41867-2022 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 人工智能 术语.

GB/T 41867-2022 is the Chinese national vocabulary for artificial intelligence in information technology, giving the common terms of the field and their definitions.

The part of clause 3 visible here defines basic entries such as the distributed way in which an AI system passes data and instructions between nodes interconnected in a given topology, artificial intelligence as a discipline, the artificial intelligence server with its compatible-server and all-in-one variants, the artificial intelligence cluster built from acceleration processors, servers and acceleration modules, and the integrated circuit whose computing micro-architecture is adapted to AI algorithms.

Its contents list covers four groups of terms - basic terminology, key general technologies, key application areas, and safety and ethics - followed by a bibliography and an index.

Clause 1 says the document applies to understanding and exchanging AI concepts and to research, teaching and applications, and clause 2 states that it has no normative references. Issued on 14 October 2022, it has applied since 1 May 2023.

3 Terms and Definitions

3.1 Basic terminology

3.1.1

A way in which artificial intelligence systems are implemented in which data and instructions are passed between a set of nodes that are interconnected in a particular topology and processing to accomplish AI tasks.

Note: The node connection topology generally includes decentralized structure, star structure, ring structure, tree structure, etc.

3.1.2 artificial intelligence

< Discipline> Research and development of related mechanisms and applications of artificial intelligence systems (3.1.8).

3.1.3 artificial intelligence server

A server in an information system that can provide high-performance computing power for artificial intelligence applications.

Note 1. Based on general-purpose servers and equipped with artificial intelligence acceleration cards, servers that provide dedicated computing acceleration capabilities for artificial intelligence applications are called artificial intelligence. Compatible server.

Note 2.A server that is specially designed for artificial intelligence accelerated computing and provides artificial intelligence-specific computing power is called an artificial intelligence all-in-one server.

3.1.4 artificial intelligence cluster

A collection of artificial intelligence computing functional units that follow unified control.

Note 1. The artificial intelligence computing functional unit may include artificial intelligence acceleration processors, artificial intelligence servers, artificial intelligence acceleration modules, etc.

Note 2. When composed of artificial intelligence servers, the artificial intelligence cluster can be called artificial intelligence server cluster, and the artificial intelligence server can be called artificial intelligence server cluster. node.

3.1.5

It has a computing micro-architecture adapted to artificial intelligence algorithms, and is an integrated circuit component that can complete the computing processing of artificial intelligence applications.
