Scope

GB/T 41449-2022 is the English-translated version of 时序卫星影像数据质量检查与评价.

GB/T 41449-2022 says how the quality of time-series satellite image data is inspected and rated.

It fixes the basis and the content of the inspection, the inspection methods, the quality levels, the record of the results and what to do when a problem is found; then the sampling procedure, from forming the batch and identifying the unit result to fixing the sample size and running the inspection; then the quality elements with their evaluation indicators; and last the rating of the unit result and of the batch.

Its annex shows how the individual inspection items are calculated. Among the terms it defines are the time-series satellite image itself, synthetic aperture radar and its interferometry, contrast, sharpness and radiation distortion.

It cites GB/T 18316, was issued on 15 April 2022 and has applied since 15 April 2022.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

1 Scope

This document specifies the basic requirements, the sampling inspection procedure, the quality elements and evaluation indicators and the quality assessment for the quality inspection and evaluation of time-series satellite imagery data.

This document applies to the quality inspection and evaluation of time-series satellite imagery data.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. 3 Terms and Definitions

GB/T 18316 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Time-series satellite images

A series of remote sensing images of the same observation area are acquired at certain time intervals by using sensors carried by artificial satellites.

3.2 Synthetic aperture radar

Based on Doppler frequency shift theory and radar coherence, a remote sensing system that comprehensively processes the amplitude and phase data of radar echoes. [Source: GB/T 14950-2009, 4.151]

3.3 Synthetic aperture radar interferometry

A technique for interferometric measurement using phase information from SAR data of different periods in the same area.

3.4 Contrast

The size of the grayscale contrast of remote sensing images.

3.5 Sharpness

The clarity of details and boundaries in remote sensing images.

3.6 Radiation distortion

The inconsistency between the measured value of radiation of ground objects in remote sensing images and its actual radiation intensity.
