Scope

GB/T 41144-2021 is the English-translated version of 放射性气溶胶的通风防护衣要求与测试方法.

GB/T 41144-2021 specifies the requirements and test methods for ventilated protective clothing against radioactive aerosols in China.

It covers isolated, air-supplied suits made of non-permeable material that are continuously fed with breathable air to keep a positive internal pressure, so that radioactive aerosols do not contaminate the body or reach the respiratory tract; powered air-filtering suits and other protective clothing are excluded.

The document defines radioactive aerosol and inward leakage, and sets out requirements and test methods drawing on Chinese standards for tear, seam and abrasion strength, flex damage, flammability and puncture resistance of the materials, together with marking.

Informative annexes describe how the protection factor and the field of view are tested. It is used by manufacturers and test laboratories. It was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.
