GB/T 41000-2021 is the English-translated version of 聚碳酸酯（PC）饮水罐质量通则.

GB/T 41000-2021 sets the general quality requirements for polycarbonate (PC) drinking water pitchers, the tank-type containers used to package drinking water. It applies to pitchers made from polycarbonate resin by one-step extrusion blow moulding or by injection, stretch and blow moulding.

The standard classifies pitchers by nominal capacity into 5 L and below, over 5 L up to 20 L, and over 20 L, and its requirements start with odour, freedom from debris and foreign matter, and the finish of the mouth, thread and body.

It also covers test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage. It was issued on 26 November 2021 and has applied since 1 June 2022.

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Polycarbonate drinking water pitcher

Drinks made of polycarbonate resin for food contact as raw materials, one-time extrusion, blow molding, or injection, stretching, and blow molding processes Tank type container for water packaging.

4 Categories

According to the nominal capacity, PC tanks are divided into. 5L and below, greater than 5L to 20L, and greater than 20L.

5 Requirements

5.1 Senses and appearance
