Scope
GB/T 40957-2021 is the English-translated version of 企业竞争力评价规范.
GB/T 40957-2021 is the Chinese national framework for evaluating how competitive an enterprise is.
It sets out the evaluation principles, the evaluation indicators and methods, the evaluation process and its requirements, the content of the evaluation report, and how results are disclosed and used, together with document management, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
A normative annex lists each indicator with its name, description and weight, and an informative annex gives the cover and bibliographic item format of the evaluation report.
It also defines competitiveness, enterprise competitiveness, evaluation, competitiveness evaluator and corporate culture. Enterprises use it for their own management and for comparative evaluation within the same industry, and third-party bodies may refer to it. It was issued on 26 November 2021 and has applied since 1 June 2022.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 27922 apply to this document.
3.1 Competitiveness
A comprehensive ability embodied by a competition or comparison between two or more participants.
3.2 Enterprise competitiveness
Under competitive market conditions, companies cultivate their own resources and capabilities, obtain externally available resources, and make comprehensive use of them. The comprehensive ability to realize their own value on the basis of value creation by the households.
3.3 Evaluation

3.4 Competitiveness evaluator
Through training personnel who have the ability to evaluate competitiveness.
3.5 Corporate culture
The basic concepts, values, and behaviors established by the company in its long-term production and operation activities and recognized internally and generally recognized by external parties The sum of the psychological accumulation of norms and morals, fashions and customs.
