GB/T 40598-2021 is the English-translated version of 电力系统安全稳定控制策略描述规则.
GB/T 40598-2021 lays down how stability limits and security and stability control strategies are described in power grid dispatching automation systems, so that they can be exchanged and analysed between different dispatch master stations, between applications within a master station, and between stability control systems and the master station.
It defines security and stability control, control strategies, stability limits and power flow constraints, then sets out the components of a strategy, split between the stability limit part and the control strategy part, the description method and the language elements for control logic.
Annexes give a table of description rules and an overall framework with worked examples for stability limits and control strategies. It builds on the grid model description of GB/T 30149. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
1 Scope
This document defines the constituent elements and control logic descriptions of the stability limit, safety and stability control strategy information in the power grid dispatching automation system. It describes the language elements, and specifies the methods and requirements for describing information.
This document is applicable between different dispatch master station systems, different applications of dispatch master station systems, safety and stability control systems and dispatch master systems. Data exchange and analysis on stability quota and stability control strategy between station systems.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Electric power system security and stability control
